It's a New Year!

We had a pretty low key New Year's Eve this year, not that we've really done much of anything since we've had kids. Chris went to the Music City Bowl during the day and I made a new chicken lasagna recipe for dinner.

Today is my niece's birthday, so we'll always have a party to go to on New Year's Day! I forgot to take my camera to Katelyn's party, but Claire and Ava both had a ball. I think Claire may have liked Katelyn's presents a little too much - we basically had to rip her from them and she was not happy about leaving.

I always have several resolutions, and this year is no exception. I like to keep the list handy and refer to it from time to time to see if I am really keeping up. Even if I don't, I think it's a good exercise to reflect on certain aspects of your life and find ways to improve - sort of an annual self-evaluation. Below are a few of my resolutions (there are a few I will keep to myself!).

I resolve in 2009.....
to learn a new craft or skill.
to try at least one new recipe from every cookbook I own.
to schedule more family time and activities - with immediate and extended family.
to lose one jean size.
to be more "green."
to exercise regularly.
to have a date night with my husband at least once a month.
to establish a web site for my business.
to create and stick to a family budget.
