First sleepover at Nana's / Date night

Nana (my mom) agreed to babysit the girls last night so Chris and I could go out on a date. We went to grab a quick bite and then went to see Fireproof at the movies. It was Ava's first time to spend the night away from us (well, me at least). She just turned five months, so she's still little and I was nervous she would wake up crying not knowing where she was sleeping. Mom said she did great, and just woke up once cooing for a bit before going back to sleep. Thanks, Nana, we needed a night just for us!

The movie had a terrific theme/message, but I must admit that I was less than impressed with the acting and found it a little bit distracting. Even though Chris and I have yet to be in the spot that couple was in, we both agreed it's easy for any couple to relate and see yourself doing at a different level some of the same things they did, such as keeping "score" on who contributes what, only concerning ourselves with meeting our own needs, etc. Perhaps the most valuable lesson I took away from it is that true love is loving someone even when you think they don't deserve it, just as God loves us. If you haven't seen it, you should!
