Zoo outing

We took advantage of the beautiful day yesterday and went to the Nashville Zoo. We picked an excellent time to go - no crowds and gorgeous weather. The girls had a great time, and I must say ths is the first time I've been in a while that the animals weren't just laying around. As you can see below, we were so close to a giraffe, he (or she) might have been able to reach over the fence and nibble on our heads! For some reason, we've always taken the route that leads us to the playground toward the end (when Claire is already tired), but this time we hit that area first. Claire had a ball - I didn't realize it was so huge! Beware, you really could lose a child in there - lots of good hiding places!
