That evening, we went out trick or treating in our neighborhood, and there was no stopping Claire! You couldn't trick her into skipping any houses, and she wasn't scared of even the ones with the creepy decor on their porches. Ava got a little chilly and tired, so the two of us headed back to the house while Claire and daddy kept on going! It was fun to see many of our neighbors and their kiddos!
After trick or treating, we went over to my sister's house to have dinner and let the kids play a little. Good times! Claire really loved Halloween and all that went along with it - the pumpkin carving, making pizzas and pancakes that looked like pumpkins, trick or treating, the parties, watching It's a Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown, etc.!
Doing the little dance they learned especially for Halloween!
Our little cowgirl and Minnie Mouse!
Saturday, I participated in a show at church for my business, Perfectly Stated Stationery & Gifts. I sell all sorts of personalized items. I had spent much of the week preparing since this was my first show since Ava was born. I had to make sure that all of my pricing and samples were updated, and get everything organized and looking sharp! Chris was so sweet and helpful not only the days before as I prepared, but in helping me set up and tear down. I tell ya, he's so great! My mom heped a lot with the girls, too, so that Chris could help me. Needless to say, I was pretty beat Saturday after a long day on my feet, but we had a good turnout and I also saw a lot of friends and acquaintances!
The girls wear matching dresses as often as I can find them in both sizes. I know I won't be able to get away with this for long, but I love it when they have on the same thing! Claire seems to like it, too. Anyway, here they are in front of our house yesterday. Chris was close by in case of a falling baby, I promise! Sweet sisters!

Claire got to go on a "date" with mommy yesterday afternoon. She had been wanting to see High School Musical 3 (we have the first two on DVD), so just the two of us went. I had been virtually unavailable for the few days before my show, so I thought this would be something fun for us to do together. We had a great time and loved the music, and I enjoyed watching her dancing in the aisle. Thanks goodness the show wasn't crowded! Now, if we could just work on learning what it means to whisper in the theater....anyhow, cute movie!
Not much to speak of today, except that my sweet Ava is five months old today!
