New toy for us!

We sold a few large items that have been hanging out in our garage for a while and used the money to buy a new camera! We got a Nikon D40, which from what I understand is considered a sort of basic digital SLR. I'm really excited, but a little intimidated by it! I think a few who read this may have that camera, so if you do, let me know how you like it and what I should know about its drawbacks too. We have about a week to try it out before there's no returning it, so we're going to try and make sure it will meet our needs! Hopefully, you'll see some new pictures from it soon!
