Ava at nine months!

Ava turned nine months old today and we had an appointment for her checkup. She checked out just fine, but we did have a little drama while there. They pricked her toe for some type of test (I was talking to the other nurse and wasn't paying attention) and put a bandaid on it - end of story, or so we thought. As we were waiting for the doctor to come in, Ava was playing on my lap (facing away from me) and the bandaid slipped right off without my knowledge. It wasn't until I was covered with blood that I realized she was still bleeding! Seriously?! It was a tiny little toe prick? It was all over her feet and the floor too! The sweet nurses did help me clean up and we had all settled down by the time we saw the doctor. She weighs 18 pounds even and is 28 1/2 inches long. Her weight is in the 36th percentile and her height was in the 81st. We are thankful for another good checkup!
