Bargain shopping at Publix!

We had a lesson recently at our MOPS meeting about saving money and how to maximize coupons, so I have been trying to expand my horizons a little to save more. I have always been a coupon clipper from the Sunday paper, but I had never taken it any farther than that. I typically buy all groceries at Kroger, and all toiletry/homekeeping items from Walmart. I had been hearing about good deals at Publix, so I decided to make it a point to stop in there when there's a great deal. I have always LOVED Publix, but never really shopped there regularly because I perceived it was more expensive. I still believe it is at regular price, but you can get some great items on sale there. Just look at what all I got there today....

Above is $70.50 worth of groceries that I got for $29.69! This included a tub of wipes, two cake mixes, three boxes of cereal, three pounds of chicken, a four-pack of yogurt, one package of baby food, pretzel bites, a bag of apples, a gallon of milk, two two-packs of spreadable butter, a package of strawberries, grape tomatoes, salsa, as well as potato salad and chicken salad from the deli. I've been keping up with a few sites, but one of my favorites with deals at Publix is http://www.southernsavers.com/.
